Salomonsson had a goal and five points in 32 outings with Winnipeg as well as a goal and nine points in 29 appearances with AHL Manitoba in the 2025-26 regular season. He also had an assist in two playoff outings with Manitoba this year. The 21-year-old defenseman might have been in the mix to make the 2026-27 Opening Night roster with Winnipeg if he had entered training camp healthy. However, Salomonsson is now likely to still be recovering from his surgery when training camp begins, which will limit his opportunities to compete for a roster spot.
Pionk was limited to 51 outings in 2025-26, and he's set to finish the season with three goals, 12 points, 37 PIM, 111 hits and 75 blocks. Winnipeg didn't secure a playoff berth, so this marks the end of the first campaign of his six-year, $42 million contract.
Nyquist will miss his 10th straight game to end the regular season. He had one goal and 11 assists in 51 games with the Jets in 2025-26 and at the age of 36, he may not get another opportunity to play at the NHL level.
Barron remains week-to-week and will miss his third straight game against Philadelphia on Saturday. He has provided 11 goals, 23 points, 92 shots on net, 40 blocked shots and 132 hits across 65 appearances this season.
