Forsling had been playing through the injury, and head coach Paul Maurice felt "he's given enough," so the 29-year-old will get the game off. Mikulas Hovorka will draw into the lineup as a result. Forsling will finish 2025-26 with two goals, 28 points, 51 PIM, 52 hits and 98 blocks in 80 outings.
Thus ends a difficult campaign for Nosek, who was limited to 21 outings due to injury. He recorded two goals, four points, four PIM and 51 hits over those games in 2025-26. The 33-year-old is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
Head coach Paul Maurice said that Ekblad would be out "weeks" and with only two weeks remaining in the regular season and the Panthers all but eliminated from playoff contention, it is likely the end of the campaign for the 30-year-old blueliner. Ekblad will end the season with four goals, 22 assists, 84 hits and 103 blocked shots across 72 regular-season games in 2025-26.
Gadjovich hasn't been in the lineup since late October. The 27-year-old appeared in only 10 games in 2025-26, chipping in three helpers, 30 hits and a plus-2 rating. It remains to be seen how he has been progressing in his recovery.
The Panthers have been dealing with a slew of injuries, and Reinhart is one of several players who will likely be shut down for the rest of this year. The goal-scoring winger will conclude the 2025-26 campaign with 29 markers, including six game-winners, 61 points (25 on the power play), 166 shots and a minus-18 rating over 64 appearances. While it's not currently known how his recovery process is going, Reinhart should have more than enough time to be ready for the start of training camp in September ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Balinskis has been sidelined for a week and a half due to his lower-body injury, and it's possible that he'll be shut down for the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with a fracture. Across 54 appearances for the Panthers this year, he's recorded five goals, 10 assists, 71 hits, 42 blocked shots and 30 PIM while averaging 16:22 of ice time.
Marchand has missed the last three games and is not expected to be back in the lineup anytime soon. Considering the Panthers are all but eliminated from postseason contention, it would not be surprising to see Marchand shut down for the remainder of the year after multiple deep playoff runs and injuries along the way.
