Gritsyuk sat out the final 12 games of the 2025-26 campaign due to an injury. Before getting hurt and requiring surgery, he compiled 13 goals, 31 points, 149 shots on net and 58 hits across 66 appearances during his first NHL regular season.
Rodrigues was limited to just 69 regular-season games this year but still managed to reach the 30-point threshold for the fifth consecutive campaign. With New Jersey, the 32-year-old natural center should slot into a middle-six role that could include power-play minutes as well. As such, Rodrigues should be a near-lock to reach the 30-point threshold again in 2026-27.
The Devils are out of the playoffs and with only four games remaining in the regular season, it was decided that Hughes would have the surgery and get a head start on being ready for training camp in September. Hughes ends the season with six goals and 29 assists, including 13 points on the power play, over 68 appearances in 2025-26, his worst performance in his three-year NHL career. Look for Hughes to have a better 2026-27 campaign, and he could surpass the 50-point mark, if he is able to stay healthy.
Noesen had surgery on his knee back in January. There was hope that he might be able to make it back in time to contribute this year, but that possibility has been officially ruled out. The 33-year-old will officially wrap up his 2025-26 campaign with three goals, four assists, 33 penalty minutes, 33 hits and 15 blocked shots in 38 games.
